Kent, England - Edward Young of Hawkhurst (1785-1842), surgeon, son of Edward Young of Hawkhurst, had son William Blackman Young (1814-1899), clerk to St. Leonard's town commission, secretary to Hastings Gas Company - Per pale vert and or, on a bend engrailed ermine plain cotised argent between two escallops of the last as many griffins’ heads erased proper. Crest—A griffin’s head erased per fess vert and or, charged with two escallops counterchanged.
