Fife, Scotland - The Wood baronetcy of Bonnytown (Bonyngtoun, Bonnyton, Bonnington) in the County of Forfar, was a title created in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia in 1666 for John Wood, son of Patrick Wood, son of Sir Henry Wood, son of Sir Patrick Wood, son of William Wood, son of Walter Wood who died at the Battle of Flooden in 1513, all of Bonnytoun - Azure an oak tree or, growing out of a mount in base proper between two crosses crosslet fitchée of the second. Crest: A demi savage wreathed head and middle with laurel, holding a club erected in his dexter hand. Supporters—Two savages proper wreathed as the former, each with a baton erected on his right shoulder also proper. Motto—Defend.
