Huntington, England - Richard Wells Esq. of Holme House (fl. 1826) - Vice Admiral Thomas Wells (1759-1811), served in French Revolutionary Wars - Or, a lion rampant double queued sable in dexter chief point a pellet. Crest: A demi ostrich, wings displayed argent ducally gorged or, charged on the breast with an escallop sable and holding in the mouth a horseshoe gold.
Note: Bernard Wells of Holme bore a different coat of arms: Ermines on a canton or, a buck’s head sable. Crest: A demi talbot ermines.
