Westmorland, England - originally of Scotland - Richard Watson (1737-1816), Bishop of Llandaff, born at Hardendale in 1737, acquired Calgarth Park, son of Thomas Watson of Hardendale (1672-1753), clergyman and master of the grammar school, had grandson Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Edward Watson of Calgarth Park - Argent on a mount an oak tree inclining to the sinister proper acorned or, debruised by a fess azure. Crest: Two arms issuing from clouds, holding the stump of a tree fructed at the top, with branches on each side, all proper.
