Watson of Crosslet or Craslat, co. Dumbarton, Scotland - David Watson (fl. 1606), sometimes Provost of Dumbarton, son of Walter Watson - Argent an oak tree eradicated proper surmounted of a fess sable. Crest: A dexter hand erect proper. Motto: Confisus viribus (Trusting in my strength).
Note: Walter Watson was a burgess (freeman) and landowner in Dumbarton in 1494 and a number of his descendants became bailies (senior magistrate) and provosts.
