Heraldic/Genealogical Details:
Stein von Kaminski - The Stein von Kamienski family is an originally Polish noble family that also attained Prussian nobility.
The documented lineage begins with Stanislaus Kamieński (d. 1699), whose son Jacob settled in Prussia. On June 15, 1802, the Prussian recognition of nobility as "Stein von Kamienski" was granted to the Privy War Councilor and later President of the Government of Bromberg, Johann Salomo Jackstein. Another recognition followed on February 15, 1819, for his brother, the Royal Prussian Councilor in Karthaus (near Danzig), George Friedrich Jackstein, Lord of Wyczechowo, Groß-Czapielken, and Fietschau in the Danzig district.
