Buckingham, England - The Palmer Baronetcy, of Wingham in the County of Kent, was a title created in the Baronetage of England in 1621 for Sir Thomas Palmer, Member of Parliament for Arundel, third son of Sir Henry Palmer of Wingham (d. 1558) - he had son Sir James Palmer of Dorney Court (d. 1657), who had son Philip Palmer of Dorney Court, Cupbearer to King Chares II - Or, two bare gules each charged with three trefoils argent in chief a greyhound courant sable. Crest—A demi panther ramp, issuing flames out, of its mouth and ears, holding in the paws a holly branch, with leaves and berries all proper. Motto—Palma virtuti.
