The Newton Baronetcy, of Barrs Court in the County of Gloucester, was created in the Baronetage of England in 1660 for Sir John Newton (c. 1611-1661) for providing King Charles II with troops to defend the plantation of Ulster - Quarterly, 1st and 4th, sable two shinbones saltireways, the sinister surmounted, of the dexter argent, for Newton; 2nd and 3rd, argent on a chevron azure three garbs or, for Cradock. Crest—Same as Newton, of Duffield.
