Yorkshire, England - The Lawson of Brough Hall in the County of York was a title created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom in 1841 for Sir William Lawson – born William Wright, he assumed the surname Lawson, being the maternal grandson of the Sir Mordaunt Lawson, 5th Baronet (c. 1733–1743) - Argent a chevron between three martlets sable. Crest: On a chapeau gules turned up ermine a martlet sable.
