Jones of Fonmon, Glamoran, Wales - Captain Philip Jones of Fonmon (1617-1674), member of Oliver Cromwell's Army in Ireland, went on to serve as a Member of Parliament, and as governor of Swansea, Wales and later obtained the rank of colonel, son of David Johns of Great House, Swansea and Penywaun Llangyfelach, had son Oliver Jones (d. 1685), and grandson Robert Jones (d. 1715), Member of Parliament & High Sheriff - Gules on a cross between four mullets or, a pheon with broken staff, point downwards, of the field.
