Jones of Glen Helen, co. Carnarvon, Wales - William Jones of Glen Helen had son General Sir William Jones (1808-1890) who served with the 61st throughout the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9 - Sable on a chevron between three spearheads argent two staves of Æsculapius chevronwise, each entwined by a serpent proper. Crest—A dexter arm embowed in armour proper garnished or, surmounted by two branches of laurel in saltire vert, the hand grasping a javelin in bend sinister, point downwards of the first, from the wrist pendent by a ribbon an escutcheon gules charged with a scymitar also proper pommel and hilt gold.
