Glamorgan, Wales - Colonel Philip Jones purchased Donmon, Lancadle, and Penmark in 1658, from him descended Robert Jones (c. 1682-1715), Member of Parliament, who had son Robert Jones (1706-1742), High Sheriff of Glamorgan - Quarterly, 1st, sable a chevron argent between three spear heads argent the points embrued with blood; 2nd, argent a wyvern’s head erased vert, holding in the mouth a dexter hand gules; 3rd, gules a chevron ermine; 4th, argent a stag couchant gules the horns and hoofs or, and holding in the mouth a branch vert. Crest—A cubit arm erect in armour proper in the gauntlet a spear of the first headed argent embrued gules.
