Nottinghamshire, Member of Parliament, a younger son of Sir John Howe (d. 1671), son of John Howe of Bishop's Lydeard, co. Somerset - Or, on a fess between three wolves heads couped dable, a crescent for difference. Crest: A cubit arm fesseways in armour, the end splintered, the gauntlet holding a cutlass erect, all proper, the blade of the cutlass transfixing a boar's head couped sable. Motto: Jutus et propositi tenax.
