Hahn of Rhineland - a family that can be traced back to the beginning of the 17th century in the Rhineland. The first generations were schoolmasters there. Johann Peter Hahn, baker, moved to Obsterin there in 1768. His descendants have remained in as bakers and brewers or hotel owners. The brothers Max Hahn, born 1879 in Oberstein z. St. Speaker at the management of the export office in Bad Ewms, Major d. R.a. D. and Alfred Hahn, gemstone dealer in Oberstein, born there in 1885, on my advice, have the coat of arms, which King Charles VI on February 3, 1729, granted to the first chancellor and canon of the Herford Abbey, Karl Frierich Hahn
