Gordon of Cluny, co. Aberdeen, Scotland - The Gordons of Cluny were implicated in the Jacobite rising of 1745, which resulted in Cluny castle passing to a third branch of the Gordon family around 1753. The new proprietor was John Gordon (1695–1769), had son named Cosmo Gordon (1736–1800) – later came Lieutenant Colonel John Gordon of Cluny (d. 1858) - Azure three boars’ heads couped or, within a bordure chequy of the first and last.
