Details: descended from Jonkine Fergusson, 1st of Craigdarroch (fl. 1398), who had grandson Thomas Fergusson, who had son Matthew Fergusson, 4th Laird (d.c. 1484) – later there was John Fergusson, 13th Laird, Lieutenant Colonel who died at the Battle of Killiecrankie in 1698, had son Alexander Fergusson (1685-1749), Member of Parliament
