Farrell of Glin and Killindowde, co. Longford, Ireland - confirmed in 1775 to Richard O'Farrell of Havana, Cuba - Vert a lion rampant or, armed and langued gules. Crest: A greyhound springing argent collared gules. Motto: Cu reubha (The rampaging dog).
Note: There was a Richard O'Farrell or O'Farrill was born on the Island of Montserrat in the Eastern Carribean, came to Cuba in 1715, represented the South Sea Company of London, established a slave barracks in Havana and Santiago- married Maria Josefa de Arriola and had two issues: Maria and Catalina.
There was also Richard Farrill of Montserrat, originally from London, England, or Londonderry, Ireland, who settled in the Leeward Islands in the latter half of the 17th century, had six sons, and his descendants were wealthy and educated planters and merchants, with extensive trading networks within the English and Spanish Atlantic empires (as well as the Danish and possibly the French) and cultural networks that included Jesuit educations on the Continent
