Evans of Kilcreene, co. Kilkenny, Ireland - The Evans Baronetcy of Kilcreene was a title created in the Baronetage of Ireland in 1683 for Sir William Evans, eldest son of Captain Thomas Evans, who came from Wales as a Captain of Troop in Oliver Cromwell's Army during the English Civil War, for which he was rewarded 1,870 acres of land in Kilkenny, where he served as Mayor and High Sheriff (c. 1590-1677), as well as 1,349 acres in Queen's County and 756 acres in Meath - Argent three boar’s heads couped sable.
