Roxburgh, Scotland - Archibald Douglas of Liddesdale, 1st Laird of Cavers, had son William Douglas (d. 1464), 2nd laird - Robert The Bruce rewarded ‘The Good’ Sir James Douglas, his trusted lieutenant at Bannockburn in 1314, with lands spread across Scotland, including Cavers, granted in 1320 - Argent a man’s heart gules on a chief azure three stars argent within a bordure of the third.
