Gloucestershire, England - The Davis Baronetcy, of Hollywood in the County of Gloucester, was a title created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom in 1845 for Sir John Francis Davis, Governor of Hong Kong from 1844 to 1848, son of Samuel Davis, director of East India Company and Henrietta Bolieau, French noble family who were refugees in England - Argent a chevron nebuly between three mullets in chief and another in base pierced sable. Crest—Two Indian pikes in saltire proper surmounted by a mullet pierced sable between two wings vair argent and sable. Motto—Utili secernere honestum (To separate the honourable from the useful).
