(1546-c.1595), rebel who raised Clonmell killing eight men, and landowner, seventh son of James Butler, 9th Eart of Ormond, and younger brother of Sir Edmund Butler (c. 1534-1602) - Quarterly, 1st, or, a chief indented azure 2nd, gules three covered cups or; 3rd, argent a lion rampant gules armed and langued azure on a chief of the second a swan of the first, between two annulets or; 4th, ermine a saltire gules; the whole within a bordure engrailed vert. Crest: A falcon displayed proper rising out of a plume of five ostrich feathers argent. Motto: Comme je trouve (As I find it).
