Cork, Ireland - The Anderson baronetcy of Fermoy was a title created in the Baronetage of Ireland in 1813 to Sir James Caleb Anderson, an inventor who worked on steam coaches and locomotive engines, for the “great public services rendered to Ireland” by his father, John Anderson (1747-1820), a Scottish businessman and entrepreneur active in Cork and New York - Quarterly, or and argent a saltire engrailed per saltire gules and sable between a mullet pierced in chief two boars’ heads erased respecting each other in fesse of the fourth and in base a trefoil slipped vert.
